Aside from religion, things people believe in.
Why is it that this line is constantly in movies from the US, but they are some of the worst offenders on the planet! Do they think that this line instills any sense of honesty into their audiences?
The line is “DON’T LIE TO ME!!” (No doubt you may have heard and seen this once or twice).
This is something I have heard for many years on chat shows, in movies, in cop series(mostly), and I get the “we don’t want to teach our kids or youth to lie” angle, but hey!!! Lies are all around us.
Horror movies is the topic of this blog in case it is not clear. The ‘morons’ appending it, is a commentary on the actions of the people who are portrayed in said movies. Let me first say that I am not at all a fan of these movies, but my wife is. This means that I have the misfortune of having to watch them more often. I have watched some very good horror movies over the years, but these are few and far between. Anyway, let me relate my views on the phenomena which are ‘the horror morons’
I am currently watching an episode of Crime Investigation on the TV.
The episode is about a church cult into which a woman was introduced, and slowly brainwashed. This was just one program in a series of programs which investigate various cults around the world. The same underlying theme always seems to be at the core of these programs.
The rise of religious fanaticism.
Religion has long been a word which stirs emotions, triggers debate, arouses passion, and also instills suspicion and fear. The worship of a higher being of which generally there is no concrete evidence, has shaped societies and cultures for thousands of years. One of the religions at the centre of the debate is Islam. This religion, looks to Allah as its supreme being, and has rules which must be followed.
History has taught us a great many things. From business to politics, to science, to education. Man has often, but also not often, learnt from his mistakes. He has adapted to the situations which came about as a result of movement, trade, and labour. This is how societies are formed

ology is one of the biggest developments in the history of mankind. With it the world that we know is constantly changing. Mankind in many instances is judged on its progress in technology.
From the camera, the light bulb, the engine, the computer, flight, and many more innovations throughout time, we invent more and more fascinating technologies( the latest i know about, are the self-driving car, bio-metrics, remotely controlling space crafts on Mars).
Technology has helped us in immeasurable ways, but at the same time it has hindered us in other ways.
This expression or saying comes from 2 possible sources, but in the meaning “the law is an ass” -the ‘ass’ in this instance, is a donkey, which has a reputation for being stubborn, and obstinate, without reason. So to define the expression, is to say that the application of the law is often contrary to common sense.
Having lived in Asia for a number years, there is one aspect, which is particular to Asia, which I still have a hard time getting to grips with. Coming from the West (Europe), I and many like myself have been taught to be honest, and direct. To make ones voice heard when need be. But this behaviour is in direct contrast with most Asian countries where, the act of keeping ones mouth shut, or not voicing ones real opinions, is preferable to voicing them. There is also the culture of not being seen as ‘wrong’ to avoid embarrassment at any cost. Even at the cost of ‘loss of position'(this translates to, ‘cutting off your nose to spite your face’.)
The wonderful about us humans which is one of the things which sets us apart from other life forms, is our ability to express our emotions in so many ways, both verbally and visually. The majority of our daily interaction is based on our emotions. Sadness, anger, frustration, fear, worry, and excitement, are just a few of a multitude of emotions we express. The most moving emotion of all is sadness. When something terrible happens, such as losing a loved one, whatever the cause, the pain caused by this loss is often overwhelming. Read more
